
Framingham, MA (September 15, 2006) –The National League of Poker (NLOP.pk) announced today that over 40,000 people had registered to its free online poker portal www.nlop.com, and that over 3,000 players had won cash and prizes on the site. NLOP, which launched on March 10, 2006, is the first completely free-to-play online poker portal that offers players a risk-free poker environment to play in, and awards cash and prizes to winners.
In total NLOP and its wholly owned subsidiary Poker Creations (www.pokercreations.com ) has awarded over $250,000 worth of prizes.
NLOP has just concluded its Summer Series, a 12-week promotion that awarded over $25,000 in cash and prizes including a Grand Prize $10,000 entry to the 2006 World Series of Poker held in July at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. NLOP also awarded seats to 2006 WSOP events to 16 other site winners.
The Grand Prize seat was won by Pat Hopkins, of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
